Even though I have retired from farming, there is difficulty in removing farming from one’s system. After reading Rob Laurent’s article in The Old Machinery Magazine, issue #167, June/July 2013, it prompted me to contact Rob and send photos of a model Southern Cross windmill that I had made for display.

This model is, from my memory of erecting and servicing two Z-pattern mills
