This was built in the early 1930’s by Mr J. Roset of Sydney, using a 1930, 1,200cc side valve bottom end of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. He then built a water cooled OHV top end using Buick car rocker gear and pushrods. The heads are dual plugged, and run both coil and magneto ignition. The motor and drive train powered an 18ft clinker hull boat on Sydney Harbour. The motor has now been rebuilt and will hopefully be put back into a vessel as a testament to Australian marine ingenuity. It was restored by Pacific HD Trading Co., and is owned by Mark and Susie Austin of Gosford, NSW. *Warwick Homer, Empire Bay, NSW
