The Opperman Motocart, a somewhat odd looking machine, was manufactured by S E Opperman Ltd of the Stuart Works, Stirling Corner, Boreham Wood, Hertfordshire, UK during the 1940s and 1950s. It was first placed on the market by the firm of Jack Olding & Company of Caterpillar Island, Hatfield which was listed as the ‘Sole Concessionaire’.
Designed as a general-purpose workhorse for use around the farm the Opperman Motocart was capable of performing a wide range of tasks in an economic manner that would benefit the owner.
