The Nodwell Snow-Cat

Nodwell Snow-Cats were made in Canada by Bruce Nodwell Ltd in the 1950s. 

They were trucks on tracks, built for work on snow and ice, 

and proved invaluable in this arduous work. 

It seems that the subject of this story was built after 1958 as it has the RN75 designation, meaning Robin Nodwell Ltd, a newly merged company.

There were two models, the RN110 and the RN75 (being the shorter of the two). The RN75 was the most popular model being faster, 14mp/h, a little cheaper, and more manoeuvrable than the RN110. However, because of its shorter wheelbase it tends to pitch more than the longer RN110 which also has a bigger payload. It seems that around 600 RN75s were made and that six came to Australia.
