The Boultham Works Lincoln, UK

It has been announced just  recently that one of the two Ruston Proctor engine works, built during World War One, is to be demolished to make. way for housing. Here is a little history of these works.

The well-known Boultham Works at Frith Road, and another at Spike Island, were constructed in early 1915 and completed in a little over six months. As we know, World War One aircraft, including bi-planes, mainly the Sopwith F1 Camel and their associated rotary engines, as well as in-line engines for other orld War One aircraft, were constructed there.
