Following the restoration of the Abraham windmill, covered in issues #170 and #171, Hugh describes the completion of the restoration of the Abraham Syphon Pump.
When restoration of the windmill was commenced, it was realised that the project would never be complete unless an Abraham pump was set up beneath the mill, to pump water. It did seem improbable that a pump would be found, as the few known pumps were tightly held by their owners.
