Many years ago when I was a very young lad, I grew up on the family farm, which suited me, as I had a great affinity for farm life. I was also always interested in anything to do with wheels and engines. I can remember coming home from school and making a beeline straight to the old Chevy ute. I would drive over to where Dad was working with the tractor and take over the driving until dark. I was at this stage of helping on the farm when Dad bought a new International AWD6, to replace a Bulldog and a W30 International tractor.
One day, I came home from school and saw, on the back of the truck, an old 1936 Minneapolis Moline Twin City, model FTA petrol/kero tractor. My eyes lit up. We unloaded the tractor and towed it over to the workshop and started to remove and strip the engine down.
