Reg Davis bought his Hart-Parr, back in 1932 from Wischer & Co, in Melbourne, Victoria. who had shipped it out from America. The finance was arranged with Commonwealth Fertilizers & Chemicals who were at 65 William Street, Melbourne, Victoria. At that time, Reg was only 17-years-old, fit as a Mallee bull, and ready to go contracting.
It cost Reg £400, and documents show that the last payment was made to the finance company on the 8th January 1935 - he must have worked day and night to pay it off so quickly.
